Further to designing landing pages, my role in Dubarry also included liaising with the external SEO agency and carrying out tasks that were set by the agency within the Dubarry CMS. This included adding alt tags to product imagery and reducing image file sizes to both improve the user experience and the score from Google page speed insights.
As part of the SEO audit the agency discovered that there were a number of backlinks from other sites leading to broken links on the Dubarry site. 301 redirects were created within the CMS to redirect the links to the most sensible page. The audit also uncovered a number of canonical links on the site which included additional url parameters. The additional url parameters were then removed from the links on the site.
The agency also carried out some keyword research and clustered the keywords accordingly. New sub-categories that were based on these keyword clusters were then created. The H1 tag and paragraphs of the new categories included the targeted keyword. To ensure no additional clutter was added to the mega menu, these categories were hidden from the menu and linked only through the parent category page.

I've been personally using the HP Nutrition brand for a while now to purchase protein supplements and bars. I thought it would be a good opportunity to redesign their site with the goal of decluttering it and improving the conversion rate. My focus was on redesigning the sales funnel for a user journey that starts on the homepage, moves through a collection page, and ends on the product page.

The product page was the final part of the sales funnel to be redesigned and optimised.
